Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Arrested by ED in Excise Policy Case |
The Enforcement Directorate, known for its role in investigating financial crimes and enforcing economic laws in India, they arrest Arvind Kejriwal for an extensive investigation into allegations of irregularities and misconduct related to the excise policy adopted by the Delhi government.
Kejriwal, a prominent figure in Indian politics and the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has long been hailed for his anti-corruption stance and commitment to transparency in governance. However, this arrest marks a significant blow to his reputation and casts a shadow over his administration's integrity.
The excise policy case under scrutiny pertains to allegations of favoritism, bribery, and other forms of malpractice in the implementation of liquor policies in Delhi. Critics have accused the Delhi government of engaging in unethical practices to benefit certain individuals or entities, leading to widespread public outcry and demands for accountability.
The arrest of Arvind Kejriwal has sparked intense debate and speculation across the political spectrum. Supporters of the Chief Minister argue that the move is politically motivated and aimed at undermining his leadership, while detractors contend that it underscores the need for greater transparency and accountability in governance.
However AAM AADMI PARTY (AAP) insist to the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to resign from the post of CM. Further they added that he will continue running Delhi Government without any claim from the Party.
