SBI sends all Electoral Bonds data to the Election Commission of India by 5:30 PM

State Bank Of India submits all the Electoral Bonds data to the election commission Of India by 5:30Pm as per the Supreme Court of India order on 11 March. SBI plea seeking time extension of furnish details on electoral bonds has been dismisses.

Election Commission of India Posted on X (Formerly Twitter) says that "In compliance of Hon'ble Supreme Court's directions to SBI, contained in its order dated Feb 15 & March 11, 2024 (in the matter of WPC NO.880 of 2017), data on electoral bonds has been supplied by the State Bank of India to the Election Commission of India, today, March 12, 2024."

Public Interest Lawyer and Activist Prashant Bhushan Posted on X (Formerly Twitter) says that "Remember SBI asked for 115 more days to comply with SC order, but when threatened with contempt by the SC, they give the data to the ECI in 30 hours! Now let us see what they were hiding when ECI publishes the data by 15 March"
