A house was gutted in a fire in Thangmeiband, resulting in no casualties

Imphal: A massive fire broke out at the residence of Konsom Memcha, who is a vegetable dweller in Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai, completely wrecking them in a blaze. No casualties were reported, as the residents managed to rush out of the house as soon as the fire started dissipating.

Imphal West Fire Tenders and Quick Response Team (QRT) Imphal West, led by Inspector Joymati Women PS, rushed to the spot to douse the flames. The police team is investigating the cause of the fire, and a preliminary investigation pointed out that a short circuit led to the incident. Two gas cylinders burst, panicking the whole locality. The horrendous incident reportedly occurred at around 9:30 p.m..
